A Monumental LEGO Showcase at Edinbrick 2025
Why This Gigantic LEGO Forth Bridge Is a Must-See for Fans and Investors Alike
A monumental LEGO replica of Scotland’s iconic Forth Bridge, constructed from approximately 100,000 bricks, is set to make its Scottish debut at the annual Edinbrick charity model show on May 10-11.
A Colossal Construction
Measuring 26 feet (8 meters) in length, the impressive display features two fully functional train tracks, meticulously built by a dedicated team of four enthusiasts from the LEGO UK Railways group. Originally showcased in Manchester in 2024, this model marks its inaugural visit to Scotland, promising to draw both LEGO fans and railway enthusiasts alike.
A Fitting Tribute
Doug Adamson, the lead organiser of Edinbrick, expressed his excitement about hosting the replica. "When we learned that the LEGO UK Railways group was returning to Edinbrick after last year, we knew we needed additional space for their displays. What could be more fitting than presenting the biggest LEGO Forth Bridge ever built in a city where you can actually view the real bridge?" Adamson remarked.
Bridging History and Play
The original Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site constructed in the 1880s, is an engineering marvel that continues to serve as a vital rail link between Aberdeen and Edinburgh across the Firth of Forth. The LEGO replica pays homage to this historic structure, blending engineering precision with creative construction—a hallmark of both Scotland’s heritage and the world of LEGO.
An Unmissable Event
Visitors at Edinbrick will not only get an up-close look at this incredible model—with intricate details such as LEGO boats and miniature structures beneath the bridge—but also experience a display that captures the spirit of a bygone era through modern, playful innovation. As the LEGO replica of the Forth Bridge takes center stage, it promises to be the highlight of the event, merging art, history, and engineering in a way that captivates audiences of all ages.
For those eager to witness this extraordinary blend of creativity and historical tribute, Edinbrick offers a unique opportunity to celebrate one of Scotland’s most recognizable landmarks—this time, constructed entirely from LEGO bricks.
