Are you ready for some LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog fun? Buckle in as we take you through LEGO’s new releases!
Sonic the Hedgehog is a classic gaming icon and mascot of Sega, inspiring generations of gamers around the world. He has been around since 1991, when he first appeared in the game of the same name. Sonic is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog who loves to run fast - really fast! Not only can he outrun any creature on two or four legs, but he also has the ability to curl up in a ball and spin across the landscape at supersonic speeds. In his adventures, Sonic has often come up against enemies such as Dr Robotnik and his robot army. With help from his friends Tails, Knuckles, Cream and others, Sonic is always ready to take on whatever challenge comes his way with a smile and a quip!
In 2022 LEGO released a Sonic the Hedgehog set under the LEGO Ideas theme. Set 21331; Sonic the Hedgehog™ – Green Hill Zone was a hit with fans, leading to LEGO now releasing a new LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™ theme! If you are looking for some speed-fueled fun that'll make your head spin, then LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™ playsets will offer an awesome combination of fast action and creative play! You will be able to put yourself in the shoes of Sonic and friends - Tails, Amy, Dr Eggman, Cubot, and the Badniks - as you recreate scenes from your favourite adventures. With a speed sphere included in some, you can launch Sonic through the zones. When it's time for a break from high-speed action, grab some of Sonic's animal friends and have fun with imaginative play.

Challenge. Aimed at ages 8+, the set comes with a speed sphere and launcher that will send Sonic speeding across the course - his mission is to save animals from Dr. Eggman and his Badniks. Enjoy the challenge as Sonic zooms through the loop-de-loop and collects the ring, before knocking over Dr. Eggman's mech to free all of his captives. Then he'll need Amy's help - she's armed with her water scooter and traps to defeat Chopper and Newtron!
Set 76991; Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane, again to be released on the 1st August enables children to construct their very own Sonic-inspired world. Let their imaginations run wild as they build a course to embark on thrilling adventures. Who knows what they'll come up with…use the Tornado plane to collect rings and take out the Badnik Buzz Bomber to free Clucky!
A set that is sure to do gown a treat is 76990 Sonic's Speed Sphere Challenge, also released on the 1st of August. This Sonic the Hedgehog playset is an all-in-one action set! Kids can fire up the speed sphere launcher to send Sonic speeding across the course, taking out Badnik enemies along the way and setting his Flicky pal free. Once he's collected enough Rings to pass through the gateway, he'll be able to scale the ramp and pick up the Chaos Emerald. But Sonic's adventures don't have to stop there – kids can also enjoy role play with Sonic as he relaxes with a chilli dog and plays his DJ decks, just like in the video game.
Get ready for a wild time with Set 76992; Amy's Animal Rescue Island. This is a great way for kids aged 7+ to have fun and experience the thrill of Sonic while also caring for animals. Plenty of adventures are to be had as your little ones explore the island scene and help Amy and Tails take care of their animal friends. They can slide into the pool, build sandcastles and even enjoy the merry-go-round! Not to mention that they can use the drawbridge and waterfall trap to ward off a Badnik who’s trying to steal the animals. To top it all off, there's also a secret doorway leading to a kitchen and sleeping area, where children can look after their furry friends and give them all the love and care they need.
