LEGO SpongeBob Sets Rumoured for 2026 – A Nostalgic Return to Bikini Bottom?

LEGO’s cartoon-inspired sets have long been a huge hit with fans of all ages, blending nostalgia, humour, and iconic locations into highly collectible builds. Over the years, we’ve seen standout releases such as The Simpsons House and Krusty Burger, which perfectly captured the charm of their respective shows while offering detailed display pieces for adult collectors.

These types of sets appeal not only because of their recognisable characters, but also because they recreate beloved worlds in brick form—making them ideal for both display and play. From bright colours to memorable scenes, cartoon LEGO sets consistently deliver personality, and it looks like another fan-favourite theme could soon be making a comeback.

Two LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants Sets Rumoured for September 2026

LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants: Conch Street (11386)

According to sources online, a large-scale LEGO® Icons set based on SpongeBob SquarePants could be arriving later this year. The rumoured Conch Street set is said to feature close to 1,800 pieces, placing it firmly in the display-focused category aimed at adult fans and collectors.

If accurate, this set would recreate one of the most recognisable locations in Bikini Bottom—home to SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward. The idea of seeing the iconic pineapple house, rock home, and Easter Island head brought together in one cohesive build is already generating excitement among fans.

There are also suggestions that the set could include a core lineup of characters, potentially featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Gary. This would make it a strong centrepiece for any collection, especially for those who grew up with the series and have been waiting for its return to LEGO form.

LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants BrickHeadz (40857)

Alongside the larger display set, sources online also point to a smaller BrickHeadz-style release. This rumoured set is expected to focus on a single character—most likely SpongeBob himself—following the familiar BrickHeadz format.

Compact, affordable, and highly collectible, BrickHeadz sets have become a popular way for fans to display their favourite characters in a stylised form. If released, this would provide an accessible entry point for SpongeBob fans, as well as a perfect companion piece to the larger Conch Street build.

Why This Rumour Has Fans Excited

The potential return of SpongeBob SquarePants to LEGO shelves is a big deal. It has been many years since we last saw sets based on the iconic cartoon, and demand has only grown stronger over time. Nostalgia plays a huge role here, with many adult fans keen to revisit a theme that was part of their childhood.

A detailed location-based set like Conch Street would also align perfectly with LEGO’s recent focus on premium display models, offering both visual impact and collectability. If the rumours prove accurate, this could quickly become one of the standout releases of 2026.

And Finally

While nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, the possibility of LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants sets returning is already creating plenty of buzz. Fans will no doubt be keeping a close eye on any updates, and we’ll be ready to share more details as soon as they emerge. If these rumours turn out to be true, this could be one LEGO comeback you won’t want to miss.
