LEGO Speed Champions BMW M3 (E30) Available to Pre-Order Now Ahead of Summer Release

Few LEGO themes manage to appeal to such a broad audience quite like LEGO Speed Champions. Whether you are a lifelong LEGO fan, a passionate car enthusiast, a collector looking for display-worthy models or simply someone who appreciates iconic automotive design, Speed Champions continues to deliver something for everyone. Over the years the theme has evolved from smaller six-stud vehicles into highly detailed builds that capture the character of some of the world’s most recognisable machines.

Fans have seen some incredible releases over the years, with standout sets such as the LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0, Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) from 2 Fast 2 Furious, McLaren Formula 1 Race Car, Ferrari F40 Supercar and the hugely popular Lamborghini Countach. The theme has consistently mixed nostalgia with modern performance icons, creating models that work equally well as play sets and display pieces.

Now LEGO has revealed another exciting addition that is available to pre-order right now ahead of its summer launch, and for motorsport fans this one could prove especially tempting.

LEGO BMW M3 (E30) Arrives in LEGO Speed Champions

The legendary BMW M3 (E30) is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and LEGO® Speed Champions is marking the occasion with an all-new build that captures one of the most successful touring cars ever created. Set 77263 BMW M3 (E30) contains 358 pieces and will retail for £22.99 / $26.99, with pre-orders open now ahead of its 1 August 2026 release.

Rather than simply recreating the classic car, this model includes something entirely unique. For the first time, BMW and LEGO designers have worked together to create a specially designed motorsport-inspired livery featuring colours and graphics influenced by BMW's famous racing heritage. That collaboration gives the set a distinctive appearance while still retaining the unmistakable identity of the iconic M3.

The build itself includes plenty of authentic touches drawn from the real-world car. Fans will instantly recognise the square front profile, subtle air intake details and the signature rear wing that became synonymous with the E30's dominance on racing circuits around the world.

LEGO has also included a BMW driver minifigure complete with racing outfit, wig and wrench accessories, allowing builders to imagine race-day action before placing the completed model proudly on display.

What has always made Speed Champions sets stand out is their ability to balance play value with collectability, and the BMW M3 (E30) appears to continue that tradition perfectly. At over 17cm long, it looks likely to become an attractive shelf display piece while remaining accessible for younger builders aged 9+.

And Finally...

The LEGO Speed Champions theme continues to prove why it has become one of LEGO’s most consistently popular ranges. It manages to blend automotive history, display appeal and accessible pricing into sets that fans of all ages can enjoy. The BMW M3 (E30) brings together nostalgia, racing pedigree and an exclusive new design collaboration, which could make it one of the standout Speed Champions releases of the year. For collectors, motorsport enthusiasts and LEGO investors alike, this could be one worth keeping firmly on the radar ahead of its August release.
