After months of speculation, leaks, and mounting fan excitement, LEGO has finally released a teaser video for the upcoming USS Enterprise-D set from Star Trek: The Next Generation, confirming that the long-rumoured collaboration is about to become reality. The short but striking teaser is now live on LEGO.com, giving fans their first official glimpse of the massive 3,600-piece build that’s slated to launch this Black Friday.
The teaser features an electrifying moment: Jean-Luc Picard materialising on the transporter pad of the Enterprise-D, delivering an unmistakable nod to fans that this set will celebrate the crew as much as the ship itself.
It all but confirms that the set will proudly join the prestigious LEGO Icons line, sitting alongside other large-scale collector favourites like the The Endurance 10335 and The Botanical Garden 21353.
The rumored minifigure lineup—including Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Worf, Data (and his cat Spot), Geordi La Forge, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Wesley Crusher, Deanna Troi, and Guinan—remains unconfirmed, but the teaser’s focus on the ship’s bridge and Ten Forward strongly hints at their inclusion. Fans are already speculating that these characters could be presented on collectible display stands, echoing LEGO’s recent approach to high-end sets.
Adding to the excitement, chatter continues about a potential gift-with-purchase, possibly a micro-scale Type-15 Shuttlepod or mini bridge vignette, to accompany launch orders. While LEGO has yet to announce pricing, the scale and intricate design suggest this will be a premium collector’s piece—one destined to sit proudly alongside the most ambitious builds the company has ever produced.
With the first official teaser now public, the countdown truly begins. Whether this marks the start of a broader LEGO Star Trek line or stands as a singular celebration, one thing is clear: LEGO® has finally decided to boldly go where it’s never gone before—and fans couldn’t be more ready.
