LEGO Duck Family GWP 40885 – How to Qualify & Best Sets to Unlock It

LEGO Duck Family GWP Is Here – And It’s Bringing Spring With It!

If there’s one thing we absolutely love here at Investabrick, it’s a brilliant LEGO Gift With Purchase. There’s something about perfectly timing a purchase, hitting that spend threshold, and knowing an exclusive little extra is heading your way. LEGO consistently releases standout sets throughout the year — from premium display pieces to playful seasonal builds — and this upcoming GWP feels like one that truly captures the joy of Spring.

Fresh, cheerful and full of character, the Duck Family is exactly the sort of bonus set that puts us in a lighter, brighter mood as the days start to get longer here in the UK.

Meet the LEGO Creator Duck Family (40885)

Available from 16th–24th February, while stocks last, the LEGO® Creator Duck Family (40885) will be free with purchases of £90/ $100 or more.

This 262-piece set includes a charming brick-built mother duck, three ducklings and a small cattail plant build for added display appeal. The mother duck features a posable beak and legs, allowing her to stand proudly or glide along in a swimming pose. There’s even space for one duckling at a time to ride on her back — a lovely detail that adds to the storytelling potential.

When playtime is over, this becomes an adorable display piece measuring over 12cm tall. It’s wholesome, seasonal and genuinely gift-worthy — the kind of GWP that collectors will be pleased to have secured.

How to Qualify for the LEGO Duck Family GWP

If you’re planning a LEGO purchase anyway, this is a great opportunity to line things up strategically. Below are some excellent sets that either comfortably pass the likely threshold on their own or can be combined to unlock the Duck Family GWP.

LEGO Icons Golden Retriever Puppy

For many buyers, this set alone will comfortably take you past the qualifying spend. The Golden Retriever Puppy perfectly captures the charm and warmth of one of the nation’s most beloved dog breeds. Designed as a display model for adults, it offers posable features and a realistic finish that makes it a brilliant home décor piece once built. It’s also one of those crossover sets — ideal for both LEGO fans and dog lovers alike — making it a strong gifting option throughout the year.

From an investment point of view, animal-themed LEGO Icons sets often have broad appeal beyond core LEGO collectors, which can support long-term desirability.

LEGO Botanicals Tulip Bouquet

If you’re leaning fully into the Spring theme, the Tulip Bouquet is arguably the most natural pairing with the Duck Family. Part of the hugely popular Botanicals range, this set delivers bright, elegant brick-built tulips that look fantastic displayed in a vase. It’s affordable enough to combine with another mid-range set to reach the threshold, yet impactful enough to stand alone as a thoughtful gift.

Botanicals continue to perform incredibly well, both as décor pieces and investment-friendly sets thanks to their broad demographic appeal — particularly among buyers who might not traditionally collect LEGO.

LEGO Marvel Iron Man Mark 3 Collector’s Edition

For Marvel fans, this premium display piece comfortably clears the spend requirement on its own. The Iron Man Mark 3 Collector’s Edition is a detailed, shelf-ready build that appeals strongly to adult collectors. It offers that high-end, cinematic display presence that LEGO’s 18+ range does so well.

Strategically, licensed superhero sets with strong character recognition tend to maintain demand long after retirement — especially iconic suits like the Mark 3.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to add this to your collection, stacking it with a limited-time GWP makes perfect sense.

LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 R (Rexy) AO Racing Car

Technic fans will find plenty to love here. The Porsche 911 GT3 R (Rexy) AO Racing Car delivers bold colour, authentic detailing and a dynamic building experience. Motorsport-themed LEGO sets consistently attract a loyal following, particularly when based on real-world racing icons.

This comfortably surpasses the likely spend threshold, making the Duck Family feel like an added bonus to an already exciting purchase. For collectors, limited-edition racing liveries can sometimes generate strong aftermarket interest once retired.

LEGO® NINJAGO® Lloyd’s Titan Mech 15th Anniversary

Celebrating 15 years of NINJAGO, Lloyd’s Titan Mech is a fantastic choice for younger builders or long-time fans of the theme. Anniversary-branded sets often carry added collector appeal, and this mech delivers impressive play features alongside display value.

Depending on regional pricing, this could either reach the threshold alone or be combined with a smaller set such as the Tulip Bouquet. Either way, it’s a strong option for families looking to secure the Duck Family GWP while investing in a set with proven theme longevity.

Final Thoughts – A GWP That Feels Properly Seasonal

The LEGO Duck Family (40885) is exactly what we want from a Spring GWP — charming, display-friendly and genuinely enjoyable to build. It appeals to younger builders, collectors and casual fans alike, and it feels like one of those limited-time extras that people will be glad they didn’t miss.

If you’re planning a LEGO purchase in the coming weeks, it makes sense to time it carefully. A well-chosen main set plus a cheerful seasonal GWP? That’s smart buying — and very much the Investabrick way.
