LEGO’s collaboration with Fortnite reaches new heights with the launch of the LEGO Fortnite Mecha Team Leader (77078) — an epic, 2,503-piece mech build inspired by the iconic Chapter 1 Battle Royale event. Launching on August 1st and available now for pre-order, this towering collectible offers a blend of nostalgic in-game storytelling, intricate design, and dynamic display potential — all geared toward adult fans of LEGO and Fortnite alike.
Standing over 45 cm (17.5 in.) tall, the posable Mecha Team Leader includes articulation at the hips, arms, feet, and head, enabling detailed posing whether on display or in motion. A Fortnite-styled minifigure pilot fits into the chest cockpit, giving the model added character and play value. The included sword accessory evokes the final showdown on the Fortnite island, while a sturdy internal frame supports its impressive structure. The set also comes with exclusive digital bonus items for in-game use: Mecha Team Leader and Mecha Team Shadow outfits, redeemable in both LEGO Fortnite and the core Fortnite game.
One set, two markets: how Fortnite’s mech might muscle into LEGO® collector returns
With a retail price of £209.99 / $249.99 / €229.99, this set is positioned as a premium offering for older builders and fans of gaming collectibles. It marks another step in LEGO’s ongoing push into video game culture and adult-targeted sets — and could be a standout in both play and potential value down the line.
